Hubluxe Engineering is a Multilouver damper manufacturer and exporter of heavy duty industrial grade available in various configurations with parallel blade (louvers) or opposite blade (louvers) for isolation and or control of air / gas.
It is also known as two-way flow dampers. Parallel blades are used for on-off duty while opposed blades are used to control / regulating duty.
In Gas Turbine Exhaust and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems, simple open/close isolation is not enough. Process efficiency depends on precise flow modulation and gas mixing.
Hubluxe Engineering’s Multilouver Dampers are designed for high-cycle modulation. Featuring an aerodynamic airfoil blade profile, they minimize pressure drop while providing accurate flow control (linear or equal percentage characteristics). Whether you need Parallel Blades for isolation or Opposed Blades for superior mixing, our dampers are engineered to withstand high-velocity gas streams up to 4000mm in size.

Standard construction features of HUBLUXE make Multilouver Damper
SIZE: Any size can be made, since they are customised design
FRAME: MS body conforms to IS 2062 and boiler grade IS2002 with continuous welded flanges and alternatively SS (Stainless steel) grade, aluminium or any other weldable materials. Any dimensions can be provided using structural channel, angle or special dimension formed channel for the desired applications.
VANES: Our Multi louver dampers are constructed with robust, double-thick air-foil vanes welded to a through-shaft for superior strength and performance. We offer in materials like mild steel, stainless steel, or other corrosion and abrasion-resistant alloys based on your specific service requirements, ensuring long-lasting durability in demanding applications.
SHAFTS: Shafts ends are marked to indicate vane position and it is made up of stainless steel continuous or stub shafts.
BEARINGS: Ball / bush bearings mounted outboard on stand-offs, over adjustable packing glands. For high-temperature environments, we upgrade to carbon sleeve bearings and recommend pairing them with stainless steel shafts. This combination is specifically chosen because it can expand evenly under intense heat without seizing or failing.
LINKAGES: There are two-way linkages can be offered – Parallel blade and Opposed blade. Parallel blade is preferred when the damper up significant portion of the total system pressure loss. It is also used when greater control is required near the top end of volume operating range or for systems requiring two positions (fully open or fully closed) operation. Parallel blade damper should not be installed in upstream of critical components due to uneven airflow.
Opposed blades offers best control over the entire operating range when damper doesn’t make up significant portion of the total systems pressure loss. Opposed blades are highly recommended where it is necessary to maintain the even distribution of air downstream from the damper. They are the best choice for ducted outlets. To achieve same resistance to airflow as that of parallel blade an opposed blade operation must be open further.
OPERATOR: Multi louver damper can be designed to operate with various actuation method as Lever, Pneumatic operated, Electrical actuator operated.
The HUBLUXE make Multi louver Damper valve is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where control or regulating flow is required:
- HVAC industries
- Cement Industries
- Iron & Steel industries
- Coke oven gas
- Oil & Gas Industries
- Blowers & Flue gas
- Thermal Power Plants
FAQs (Frequently asked questions)
Find detailed answers to common questions about Multilouver Damper in our Knowledge centre.
A multi louver damper consists of various louvers (blades) that open or close in parallel to control the volumetric air passing through exhaust systems, ducts or vents.
Multi louver dampers are light weight, compact designs and have low leakage rate and are most commonly used in power plants, refineries, cement plants, steel plants, exhaust systems and so on.
